We deliver the audio of musical instruments just as they sound when played. As a world-renowned musical instrument brand, Yamaha is relentlessly committed to this mission. We created flagship speakers under the design concept of having consistent tone color throughout the entire frequency spectrum and applied unique technology to achieve it. Every speaker unit is made from a blend of ZYLON®, which has excellent sound velocity and minimal internal dispersion, and spruce, which is used in the soundboard of Yamaha grand pianos. This ensures accurate, faithful tonal expression throughout the entire audio spectrum, making the harmonies of the sound stand out and the music richer and more beautiful.

The position of the artist and the instruments, as well as the delicate nuances and the very atmosphere of the performance space, is stunningly reproduced. The resulting soundstage is so incredibly realistic, you’ll feel as if you were watching the performance unfold right in front of you.

Total Music Reproduction

Our patented Resonance Suppression (R.S.) chambers are mounted on the back of the tweeter and midrange units in order to faithfully express even the subtlest nuances of musical instruments and voices. Two specially shaped tubes cancel out unwanted resonance generated behind the diaphragm without relying on conventional sound-absorbing materials. This revives the natural sound and maintains the minute musical details in the original source.

Faithful Music Presence

Conventional speakers use a large amount of sound-absorbing material to eliminate standing waves inside the cabinet. Unfortunately, doing so also removes much of the inherent freshness of the music. In the NS-2000A, we’ve employed our patented Acoustic Absorber resonator tube to eliminate standing waves. This patented technology minimizes the amount of absorbing material so that the original realism of music that tends to be lost by sound absorption is reproduced with full energy and dynamism.

As opposed to merely producing powerful sound, we pursue a sense of dynamics that express the contrast between stillness and motion in the music.

Highly Musical Vibration Control

The basis for producing excellent sound—determining what makes the enclosure sound and where to suppress vibration—is virtually identical whether crafting musical instruments or creating speakers. The cabinet construction of the NS-2000A incorporates state-of-the-art speaker design technology that makes full use of laser vibrometers used in musical instrument research and development, as well as sophisticated Finite Element Method (FEM) analysis. The cross piece of the cabinet has been optimally reinforced ensuring solid low-frequency response, providing a secure, comfortable musical foundation without anything being lost.

Seamless Sonic Performance

Representative of the flagship series, the NS-2000A adopts the highest quality parts for the crossover circuit. The MCap® SUPREME Classic audio capacitor made by Mundorf of Germany, renowned as the pinnacle in audio-use capacitor, is used along with a huge woofer coil.

Solid Connectivity

Cut from pure brass, the large screw-type speaker terminals allow for easy and firm tightening, creating a highly secure connection and delivering absolute signal integrity.
